Opportunities for Involvement at the C. G. Jung Center

There are many ways to help with the work of the Center.  We have ongoing committees who handle the work of the Library, Programs, and Membership events.  We have temporary volunteers who help out with special projects, and we have Docents who host programs, prepare mailings, and assist with preparations for Members Eve and other special events.

The Center is currently seeking individuals who can advise us on website design (we currently use Joomla).  The Library and Membership Committees would also welcome new members.

The C. G. Jung Center initiated a Docent Program in the spring of 2005, under the direction of Pat Allen.  Karen Gillman currently leads the Docent Commitee.  Our Docents are the Center's amabassadors at each program, providing the community with information about the Center.  They play a valuable role in the Center's outreach and we are grateful for the help they provide each year.

Our next annual training for Docents will be held in September, 2011.  As hosts, our Docents are often in a position to represent the Center, so the training covers the following topics:  Jung in a Nutshell (a light introduction to Jung’s ideas); a fun mandala exercise with Joy Vaughan; the story of Mildred Harris and the founding of the Jung Center, by Paul Huss; and a brief introduction to the Board, the Committees, and the inner workings of the Center.
