Program Proposal Guidelines

The Brunswick Jung Center provides a community setting where people interested in analytical psychology may deepen their understanding of Jungian thought and experience.  Our workshops, seminars and lectures are educational, covering topics related to the ideas of C. G. Jung and contemporary analytical psychology.  We are seeking presenters who have a strong grounding in Jungian studies, and programs that have a direct tie to the history, development and/or cutting edge of Jungian ideas and practices.

We encourage presenters who are new to the Center to peruse the website at www.mainejungcenter.org.  The Center’s Mission Statement and program descriptions provide some understanding of the kind of programs the Center is currently offering.  If you have any questions or would like to discuss your ideas before writing, please feel free to contact our coordinator, Rebecca McNulty, at (207) 729-0300 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Proposals are welcome year-round and may be addressed to the Program Committee.  The committee meets once a month from September through May.  Programs are typically scheduled 1-3 semesters out on the calendar.

Please follow the guidelines listed below in submitting your proposal.  Proposals must be typed and electronic copies are preferred.

* Send proposals in the body of an e-mail or as an attachment to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

* Send typed letter proposals to: C. G. Jung Center
      183 Park Row
      Brunswick, ME 04011

Kindly include the following information in your proposal:

* Your name and contact information (address, e-mail and phone number)
* A brief bio, including previous experience as a presenter
* Program title
* Program description or outline

Here are some of the questions the Program Committee considers when evaluating proposals:

* How does the program foster a deeper understanding of Jungian ideas?
* Does the program fit within the Center’s mission?
* Who is the target audience?  Would this program appeal to Jung Center members?
* What is the style of presentation--lecture, discussion, hands-on exploration, a mix?
* How will the presenter engage participants?
* Will there be any handouts, visuals or audio-visual materials?
* What is the speaker’s experience and training with the material?  Is this a new presentation or has it been offered elsewhere?

We welcome any additional information or enclosures that you would like to provide.  Recommendations from places where the program has been offered previously would be very helpful.

Thank you!
