Dear Members and Friends of the Maine Jung Center,
We are launching a fundraiser to support the family of Misha, a board member and long-time friend of the Maine Jung Center. Following the devastating assault launched by Russian forces on the people of Ukraine, Misha’s sister, Galya, was forced to undertake an arduous journey, leaving her entire world behind, as she traveled with her daughter-in-law and two young grandchildren to safety. They are now in Germany, and in dire need of funds, as they begin navigating the bureaucracy of resettlement as refugees.
Misha’s sister, Sveta, her husband, and three grandchildren stayed behind in the Zaporizhzhya region of South-Eastern Ukraine, where the war is still raging and the Russian occupation continues. Sveta’s daughter, Alla, and her husband, who were last heard from in Mauripol, are still missing.
We are reaching out to the Maine Jung Center community to raise funds for Misha’s family. If you feel able to answer this call, please select the amount you would like to donate by purchasing a “ticket” to this fundraiser. Please note that this is not an event, simply a way to provide much-needed resources to Misha’s family during this heartbreaking time. Please reach out to info@mainejungcenter.org with any questions.
