About the event

Friday, September 26 from 7 to 9 PM via Zoom

(This program will be recorded and sent to registrants) There is still a lot of misunderstanding and misinformation about Maine's compassionate end-of-life care option. Many providers and patients in Maine are not familiar with Maine's Death with Dignity Act. Since September 2019, the law permits physicians to practice medical aid-in-dying under specific circumstances. Join Val Lovelace as she leads this class with fact-based information and the details you need to know about Maine's law, how to have the conversation with your physician, qualify for the law, and support your loved one or client who may qualify. Val Lovelace is the founder and Executive Director of Maine Death with Dignity. The overall mission of Maine Death with Dignity is providing services, education, and end-of-life advocacy to people who wish to actively explore the meaning of life through embracing the certainty of death.
