Film Night: Mystery: Stein & Kingsley Discuss the Red Book

About the event

Anticipating the publication of his magnum opus Catafalque, Kingsley sat down with Stein to share his research on ancient (over 2000 years old) notions of psyche and healing, and how they likely shaped Jung's thought during his Red Book period. But because the Red Book was withheld from the public - and, more importantly, from Jungian research and pedagogy - until 2009, Kingsley argues that a significant gap exists in our understanding of Jung's body of work and, therefore, at the very root of depth psychology itself. In his later years, Jung expressed deep frustration that his core metaphysical ideas were largely unrecognized. So come on in and help to begin setting the record straight.
