Hypnosis for Healing: A Lecture with Peter Woodbury

Friday, February 20, 2026 from 7 to 9 PM EST This lecture introduces Peter Woodbury’s clinical hypnosis work and his development of a technique called “Soul Contact.” Drawing on over 25 years of practice, Peter will explore how hypnosis can invite clients into realms of awareness beyond ordinary waking consciousness, where insight, resolution, and healing often arise.

Peter will describe the theoretical foundations and practical structure of Soul Contact, explaining how the clinician serves as a kind of midwife—facilitating the emergence of whatever the “soul” wishes to bring into the client’s awareness. He will discuss the hypnosis underpinnings of this work, its placement within modern collaborative hypnosis, and why clients retain a clear sense of self throughout the process.
